Coffee Conversations with Greg J: Dr. Sunni Ali – HipHop and Social Justice

Written by on June 25, 2020

We join with one of the rising stars of African American intelligentsia as Dr. Sunni Ali, Assistant Professor at Northeastern Illinois University joins us with an analysis of HipHop and Social Justice, and the phenomenon of Flag protests in professional sports and in the general public.

What an incredible dialogue as our interactions covered hiphop history, social messages in hiphop, activism among hiphop stars and then we were able to touch on the social activism we see in sports such as Colin Kaepernick and Bubba Wallace….

Dr. Sunni Ali has a number of books and we focused on two of his works which are avalable right now at www.africanamericanimages.com

Here’s to This Flag of Mine – Dr. Sunni Ali
